About the Author
Emily Ferguson Murphy (also wrote as: Janey Canuck) (1868-1933) was a Canadian womens rights activist. In 1916, she became the first woman magistrate in Canada, and in the British Empire. She is best known for her contributions to Canadian feminism, specifically to the question of whether women were persons under Canadian law. Murphy was also a journalist and author. Her experience in the courts led her to inveigh against drugs, in particular opium and marijuana. As Janey Canuck, Murphy wrote a number of articles about drugs and attendant social problems. These were published in The Black Candle (1922) under her pen name. Her other works include: The Impressions of Janey Canuck Abroad (1902), Janey Canuck in the West (1910), Open Trails (1912), Seeds of Pine (1914) and Our Little Canadian Cousin of the Great Northwest (1923).

Kurt Diemberger's account of the final days of success, accident, storm and escape during which five climbers died, including his partner Julie Tullis and the great British mountaineer Al Rouse, is lacerating in its sense of tragedy, loss and dogged survival. Only Diemberger and Willi Bauer escaped the mountain. K2 had claimed the lives of 13 climbers that summer. Kurt Diemberger is one of only two climbers to have made first ascents of two 8000-metre peaks, Broad Peak and Dhaulagiri. A superb mountaineer, the K2 trauma left him physically and emotionally ravaged, but it also marked him out as an instinctive and tenacious survivor. After a long period of recovery Diemberger published The Endless Knot and resumed life as a mountaineer, filmmaker and international lecturer.

If you enjoy reading about mountaineering and get some insight into the personalities of some of the famous climbers and what motivates them to climb some of the most dangerous mountains, like K-2, this is the book to read. I enjoyed reading it immensely and was unable to put the book down.

More ramblings than events

Unlike the other reviewer, I was puting the book down alot. Finally after 1/4 way through, I just gave up. It does not read like other mountaineering books where you get a beginning, a middle and an end. I felt like I came in on the middle and 1/4 way through I was still there, bouncing from thought to thought without any cohesion. I realize since I didn't get very far, perhaps the beginning manifests itself and it will all make sense in the end.

A good book but more background info than I expected. However, it is all justified when one considers the criticism of others by those that were not there to experience it all. I truly admire these individuals!!

of music—is therefore THE MASTER CODE.
Beyond solidifying our connection to The Master Code, these Rhythm Studies will also help increase
your aptitude for and comfort with sight reading. Further, because you will incorporate your voice in
these methods, you will develop 5-way independence with 4-limbed coordination. But perhaps the

So I bought this book thinking it was going to give me some ideas on mayan or Aztec tattoos but it has almost nothing about mayan or Aztec work, just a bunch of cholo style pictures and drawings so if you want a book to get some tattoo ideas that have to do with Aztec or mayan please do yourself a favor and don't buy this book!!!!!
